As I was walking my dog, I was thinking about how I have never known a dog that wouldn’t growl and if it was a small dog (like mine) I’d be worried it was a rat or something. My dog growled at my leg, and I just froze. I was absolutely horrified, but I didn’t know what I should do. The dog growled at the leg and I stood there and stared at him, like a clueless child.
A dog growls at something, especially if it’s a leg. So, if you’ve ever had a dog growl at your leg, I’m definitely going to have to explain to you why that’s weird. And if you are a dog person, you’ll probably want to tell me that.
I’ve had several dogs get mad as heck at me (I have an “exotic” breed), including two dogs that used to attack me right after they had puppies. Now, I’m not a dog person, but they were very territorial. I do believe that there are a lot of dogs out there that like to fight, particularly ones who have been mistreated recently, and that these dogs will growl at your leg if you dont stop.
As for the dog, he might not be as bad as you think. In fact, Ive found that a lot of dogs that attack me are actually good natured. They just want to have a friendly chat with me. Now, I dont know if you’ve ever had a dog that was a bit territorial, but I have. But usually it doesnt mean that its an aggressive dog.
Just because a dog attacks you doesn’t mean that it’s a bad dog. It could just be that it is a dog that is in a bad mood. Or, it could be a dog with some other bad habits going on.
In any case, it’s worth noting that Ive had dogs that have attacked me when im thinking theyre getting attacked. Its as if youre in danger from other dogs. If, however, youve had a dog that just wanted to be pet, then that dog is probably just trying to be the friendliest dog and doesnt have any other agenda.
Dogs have a very special bond with humans, and we can be very protective of that bond. When you hear a dog growling you know that it is in a bad mood because it is trying to be a bad dog. If you see a dog that is trying to be a good dog, then you know that it is in a good mood.
It is very possible that the dog is simply trying to be the friendliest dog. As a dog owner, this is hard to accept because I know that all the dogs I own are friendly. I know that the one dog that I brought into my family was an aggressive dog, and he got rid of that after some time. In my experience, when a dog is just trying to be a good dog, then it doesnt have anything to worry about.
Of course, not every dog is like a dog that is trying to be a good dog. Some dogs are just like dogs that are trying to be a bad dog, and because they are, they are not friendly. Unfortunately, it isn’t always that easy for dog owners to tell them apart.
