The last thing I want to do when I wake up in the morning is open the refrigerator, check my email, and then go to bed with my dog. The first thing that I want to do is get out of bed and run my errands for the day. This means I need to take advantage of my morning minutes to be as productive as possible. My first order of business when I wake up is to make sure my dog is awake and healthy.
For the dog, I tend to use the phrase, “Good morning, dog.” The dogs at my house are mostly old and sick, so I’m not much of a morning person. This is what I do with the rest of the day though: make lunch, do some laundry, and generally be as productive as I can, with the dog as a secondary concern.
My dog likes to walk and run outside. If I’m in the yard, dog, I like to take a long brisk walk. I tend to walk it around the neighborhood. When I’m not outside running, I like to take a little longer brisk walk on the beach.
There are many different kinds of walks. This one is definitely one of the best types. It can be a walk with a dog to a nice quiet beach with a good view. But it can be a walk with a dog in a park. It could be a walk with a dog running in the park. I have a dog that likes to play fetch but we also like to walk together and run. And I have a dog that likes to walk in the park, and run.

So let’s rewind a bit. You ask, “What do you get when you cross a dog with a dog?” Well, you get the dog. It is the very best dog. You can pet him, kiss him, and give him baths. You can even take him to the park and let him poop on the grass. And then you can take him for a walk and play fetch with him.
This is a dog? How the hell did I even get a dog? I’ve never even thought about getting a dog. I can’t even imagine getting a dog.
You know what? I get it. You don’t want to talk about dogs. You don’t want to talk about dogs but you could probably talk about other dog things. What you might want to do is talk about dog things that are a lot more personal. For example, the dogs in my neighborhood are actually great. They really like to play ball and go for walks. They’re great dogs. They’re also super cute.
